The Police in Siyabuswa are investigating a murder case after a woman’s body was discovered inside her room.

The women’s lifeless body was reportedly found at Siyabuswa on Sunday, 02 February 2025 at about 17h00.

According to information, the victim, Mbali Mahlangu (31) was last seen on Saturday evening, 01 February 2025, when she went to sleep in her backroom.

The family became suspicious when they returned from church in the afternoon, and her room was still closed and locked.

The family decided to use a spare key to open the room. To their surprise, there was a pool of blood, and the victim was lying down half naked, only wearing a T-shirt facing upwards.

The Police and Paramedics were informed about the incident and upon arrival, the victim was unfortunately certified deceased.

It was at this point when a murder case was opened.

During the preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the victim had multiple visible injuries on her body.

Possibilities are that she could have been stabbed with a sharp object.

There are no arrests made as yet and Police are working around the clock to bring perpetrator(s) thereof to book.
