The Family and Marriage Society of South Africa (FAMSA) organization in Secunda is set to launch a dignity box project during the period of 16 days of activism against women and child abuse and another Christmas party project during the festive season.

The organization is collecting personal items for women, men, and children affected by gender-based violence (GBV).

These items will be covered in dignity boxes.

Anyone interested in participating and helping in these two programs can drop off any donation at FAMSA offices in Secunda.

The donations can also include empty shoe boxes.

The social workers said they would like to set up a jumping castle on the day of the event.

If willing to donate but do not have transport, the organization is more than willing to do collections in all remote areas of the Govan Mbeki municipality.

For more information to sponsor or donate on these projects, contact FAMSA at 017 631 1593.
