Jabulani Nkosi made a brief appearance before the Evander Magistrate Court on Thursday, 21 November 2024.
Nkosi’s matter was transferred to the high court in May this year and postponed to 25 February 2025 for trial. Nkosi is facing murder, arson, and malicious damage to property charges.
He stands accused of the murder of his then-girlfriend Boitsoko Ndlovu.
Ndlovu was discovered deceased in her rented house in Evander after the house was allegedly set alight in the early hours of 27 November 2023.
It was further alleged that the body of Boitsoko was discovered concealed in a fridge and that she was pregnant.
While waiting for his trial to commence next year, he applied for bail, of which the hearing was postponed to 03 December 2024.
Members of the ANC and MK came out in numbers to oppose Nkosi’s bail application.
