The Provincial Head for the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Major General Zodwa Mokoena applauded the team for the joint operation which resulted in the arrest of the most troublesome drug dealers in the area of Leslie.
Two suspects aged 22 and 45 were arrested during a multidisciplinary disruptive operation conducted by the Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation based in Middelburg, Witbank Crime Intelligence and Middelburg K9 on Friday, 18 February 2022 for possession, dealing and trafficking of drugs at Leslie.
Information was received and followed about suspects who were dealing on drugs.
Search and seizure warrant was executed at the suspect’s house.
On arrival two suspects, male and female were found sleeping in a room.
Upon the search, drugs with an estimated street value of R700 000.00 were found and seized.
Major General Mokoena applauded the team for the joint operation which resulted in the arrest of the most troublesome drug dealers in the area of Leslie.
She further appreciated the community for the information provided.
The suspects are expected in court on Monday, 21 February 2022. Investigation continues.
