A murder case was opened by the Emzinoni police after a woman handed herself on Monday, 12 October 2020.
According to Emzinoni Police spokesperson, Sgt Cynthia Mtsweni the woman informed the police that she strangled her lover while trying to prevent him from having a sexual intercourse with her.
The two were reportedly drinking alcohol at the woman’s place in Azapo Section when the deceased allegedly demanded to have sexual intercourse with her.
She is said to have strangled him during their wrestling and later realized that he was not moving nor breathing.
The suspect will appear at Bethal magistrate Court on Wednesday, 14 October 2020.
