A 49 year old man from eMbalenhle appeared before the Evander Magistrate court on Monday, 28 August 2023 for the alleged rape of his daughter.
On a statement, the father alleges he has no idea of what was happening as he went to the police station to look for his daughter after he tried to reprimand her on the lifestyle she is living only to be arrested for the rape of his daughter.
His daughter had opened a case of rape against him.
Suspect denied all charges laid against him alleging denaying that he raped her on two occasions, in June and early August.
Suspect further mentained he did not rape the daughter but was trying to reprimand her from living a certain lifestyle which he doesn’t approve off.
The complainant made a statement that she doesn’t oppose the release of her father as she now lives in a different location.
She testified that the rape started in June to early August but however laid charges on the 14th of August.
The court was certified that there are circumstances delivered before court for the suspects bail application were beyond reasonable dought that the suspect be released on bail with possible mediation.
