Born and raised in the Govan Mbeki Municipality at Kinross, Francisca Zibia has taken authorship to overcome challenges she has been through growing up.
Francisca started her writing journey at the age of nine (9), where she wrote poems and plays at school, which she described as some of her childhood’s happiest moments.
According to Fransisca, things took a turn during her high school years, whereby she became exposed to emotional abuse and cyberbullying, and that made her feel worthless.
A failed suicide attempt and the loss of her baby girl are some of the life experiences that inspired her to start writing again, and this time a book. Picking up the pieces of her life, she wrote the first book, titled ‘Unbroken: Just Bent’, which was published in April 2024 on the Amazon platform.
The book detailed how she conquered the chains of depression and rose to a life full of positivity and change.
It is available on Amazon eBooks, also for hard copy purchase on the same platform.
Francisca did not waste time as she already embarked on a journey of writing another book, which will be published on the same platform as her previous one.
