On Saturday, 04 November 2023, the Go-Getters netball team represented Evander very well in Nelspruit after winning all games from under 10 to 14.
The team played against Vulamasango primary school on their second annual of the unstoppable tournament held in Mbomela over the past weekend.
During these games, the team claimed victory at the end by winning gold.
Go-getters was formed in 2022 with the aim of keeping young girls off the streets during their spare time.
The team practices on Friday and Saturday at Evander Stadium.
Although they practice on a rough and not-so-good netball court, the girls are always eager to keep practicing and determined to fly their club flag very high.
“We are pushing to give the young ones what they deserve because they have potential.
Some of the girls on the team were selected to represent Mpumalanga Pumas.” said the head coach, Anusha Watts.
The team needs assistance with netball equipment, a netball kit, and fixing the netball court as they are currently playing on a rough stadium.
