Police in Pienaar are investigating a case of kidnapping and attempted murder after a 47-year-old man was allegedly shot and left for dead near Pienaar Cemetery along Luphisa Road. The incident occurred on 12 May 2026
The victim was discovered by the SAPS Search and Rescue Team while searching for a missing woman.
He was found with multiple gunshot wounds and airlifted to the hospital in a stable condition.
According to the victim, he was responding to a request for a CCTV installation quotation for a certain school.
When he arrived in Pienaar, he was allegedly kidnapped by unknown suspects driving an old-model white Mercedes-Benz.
The suspects reportedly accused him of stealing a laptop before shooting him multiple times.
