It is alleged that one initiate ‘thwasana’ died at Lerato Mogale’s (Gogo Mpisi) initiation school on Saturday, 10 June 2023.
It is also alleged that Gogo Mpisi is from Pretoria Mabopane Winterveldt and her journey began in 2021, when she took her spiritual calling serious and later graduated from initiation school in eMbalenhle with Gogo Skhotheni being her Gobela.
According to the allegations, Gogo Mpisi instructed the initiate to drink blood even though she had no idea what she was doing.
As a result, the procedure failed, and the initiate died.
The incident was shared on social media, where a few sangomas argued on this issue of gobela’s practicing or rather doing the same procedure for all initiates when people come with different spiritual callings.
