This is as part of their winter drive to make sure that elderly people are warm during the winter season.

As part of the drive, differentcenters within the Gert Sibande District Municipality benefitted.

Mrs Sarah Sithole from the Gift of the Givers foundation led the winter warmer drive.

The drive was inspired by the work of Mr Patrick Mashele who has been doing this with others municipalities within the Mpumalanga province.

“I have worked with so many organization such as Embo kingdom and African kingdoms to mention a few, before I stared working with the Gift of the Givers.

With this year’s drive, it cameto me that I have been working outside my community the past years whereas charity begins at home.

I had to come back and meet with different stakeholders to compile lists of the needy in our communities.

We are not affiliated with any political association, we get our list of the needy from stakeholders within the communities such as the Kinross Golden Oldies,”said Mr Mashele with enthusiast.

Gogo Ethel Makhele who is the chairperson of the Kinross Golden Oldies thanked and appreciated the gifts they received as the organization.
