Indawo yosizo Foundation in partnership with a local company led a Sanitary pads drive 2025.
In light of being custodians of humility and kindness, the Indawo Yosizo Foundation distributed 700 sanitary pads to assist young women in Bethal.
“We are faced with circumstances where the dignity of those who are underprivileged is under attack. In attempts to dismantle the attack, we aim to create a culture of protecting the dignity of young women and all other marginalized groups.
Fighting period poverty doesn’t mean making sure that everyone who needs a pad today gets one. It also means fighting against stigmas and circumstances that have caused it.
The first step in restoring one’s dignity is getting them to realize their worth, helping them to feel themselves again and attend class every month,” said Zanele Gwebu the founder of indawo Yosizo Foundation
Hundred (100) sanitary pads were distributed in each of the following schools making the total number seven hundred (700) distributed.
Sakhisizwe Primary School, AD Nkosi Mst Academy, Vukanini Combined School, Thandanani Primary School, Lamlile Primary School, MD Coovidia Primary School, and Enkundleni Combined School.
