Nonhlanhla Nkosi appeared before the Evander Magistrate’s court on Wednesday, 04 June 2025, for a bail application.
According to the defence, they are applying for bail based on new facts.
Nonhlanhla had been previously denied bail based on the fact that she was declared a flight risk. This was after she and one other accused were allegedly arrested on the N17 towards Bethal, where they were alleged to be en route to Swaziland, trying to evade arrest.
She stands accused of the murder and kidnapping of the late Sifiso Kubheka.
The matter is currently before the regional court, and it is alleged that the other three accused are ready to plead guilty to the crime.
She is expected to appear again before the Evander Magistrates’ Court for her bail application based on new facts on the 20th of June 2025.
