The Mina Foundation in partnership with Woman’s Warehouse visited Hoërshool Evander on 08 February 2022 to educate girls about menstruation and blessed by providing a safe, eco-friendly, healthy and sustainable period product.
According to Ms Zaakira Mohamed, the founding member of Mina Foundation, Mina Menstrual Cup lasts up to 5 years saving you more than 2000 packs of pads.

The cup is said to be Bio compatible and made from 100% medical grade silicone.
The facilitators were accompanies by Adre Muller, a former learner at Hoërskool Evander.
The Mina Foundation was founded by dynamic South African women with a passion to keep girls in school, uplift lives and protect the planet.
They travel around to educate and demystify cultural taboos relating to menstrual hygiene and sanitation.

Along with a team of phenomenal facilitators, they dive into the lives of girls and women with a mission to Mina-Rise the world.
Elsie Malope, a 19 years old grade 12 at Hoërskool Evander said she has learned so much form the experience she shared with Mina Foundation and Woman’s Warehouse and wishes that they also reach many more girls who are struggling to get pads and tampons.
According to Ms Nadine Clevely and Ms Gin Mclellin from the Woman’s Warehouse, school girls lose up to 145 days of school because of their menstrual cycle.
“We say NO MORE! We say that’s NOT good enough.
We say it’s TIME to stand together and empower women in need.”
