The very first Miss Gay Mpumalanga is finally here.

The provincial gay pageant has been long awaited for across the province and will take place in December 2022 at Middleburg.

Model coach, Moesha Sibanyoni is the founder of this venture which is planned to take place annually going forward.

Moesha says twelve (12) finalists will be selected and are set to compete during the said pageant and it will aim to expose the Miss World Motto, “beauty with a purpose and advocate the advancement of the LGBTIQ rights”.

Moesha explained that “The pageant will be a vehicle to educate our communities to respect and show tolerance towards people with diverse sexual orientation, cultural, religious and racial background.

I am of the believe that Andani Matumba deconstruction and breaking down the barrier of shame and intolerance are important steps in creating a just and equitable society,” he added.

Moesha announced that the beauty pageant will take place in different towns and cities and with the first upcoming pageant to be held in Middleburg which date and venue are yet to be confirmed.

All gay models between the ages of 18 to 45 years are invited to enter this prestigious beauty pageant.

Prices to be won include cash prizes and vouchers meanwhile the Queen will serve as an ambassador for the LGBTI community and will attend all the pageants which will be hosted in the province.
