Mkhosi Ndabezitha foundation celebrated Youth Day by launching their NPO at eMbalenhle Ext 17 on Friday, 16 June 2023.
The major goal of the occasion was to formally present the executive committee and all other foundation representatives to the eMbalenhle community. Furthermore, they discussed goals and services that the foundation intends to provide the community.
The Mkhosi Ndabezitha Foundation is dedicated to reviving the “Ubuntu” spirit, and their main responsibility is catering to the needs of every child at the foundation, including feeding them, helping them with their schoolwork, and engaging them in sports, art, culture, and other activities that will shape them into better citizens.
“Our foundation mission is to provide skills acquisition and practical experience that are not traditionally taught nor exposed at higher education level,” said Moses Khoza.
The community of embalenhle was excited about the entire event because it was unusual to them, and they got to watch their children participating in a variety of activities. For some, it was therapeutic to be in a new environment and interact with strangers while whistling and clapping hands.
Lufuno Mutepe acknowledged that the event was an emotional roller coaster and thanked everyone who took part, in particular the board members, Ms Nonhlanhla Khumalo, Mr Moses Khoza, Mr Sechaba Seema, Ms fikile Khumalo, Mr. Linda Mkhaliphi, and all other foundation’s representatives and adorable children, Cllr Mrs Phungwayo, community leaders, parents, the biker guys who brought joy to the occasion, Shoprite and Checkers for bringing a nice warm soup and bread and all members of the community who participated.
