A local mother, Prudence Dladla, is calling on members of the community to assist her in keeping her two young children warm this winter after a devastating fire destroyed their home and belongings.
The family of three lost all their furniture and clothing when their RDP house caught fire in April this year. Prudence says she had gone to town to buy groceries, only to return to find her home engulfed in flames.
“Community members helped to put out the fire, but everything inside had already burnt down,” she said.
Now left with nothing, Prudence is appealing for any donations to help her two children — a three-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl — especially clothing to help them get through the cold months.
“We lost everything. I just want my children to be warm this winter,” she added.
Anyone who is able to assist with gently used clothes, blankets, or any form of donation is urged to contact Prudence directly at 079 130 8769.
