At 15H35 Sunday afternoon, a collision on the N2 just before the Joyner Road off-ramp in Durban.
Reports indicate that the driver of a taxi lost control, resulting in a roll-over.
On arrival of medics, they found the taxi lying on its side, next to the Road.
Eleven (11) people were found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.
One person was found to have sustained critical injuries after being ejected during the roll-over, with the taxi coming to rest on top of him.
On scene were the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services, Durban Metropolitan Police, Government ems and SAPS.
The critically injured patient was treated on scene by an Emergency Care Practitioner and once stabilised was transported to hospital for further care.
The other patients were transported to hospital by Netcare 911 and Government ems.
