Portia Ndaba, a proud daughter of Leandra in Mpumalanga, was crowned Miss Inspire SA 2025 at the dazzling 10th pageant finale held at Chief Albert Luthuli Primary School in Benoni. The crowning moment was nothing short of magical as Ndaba stepped into the spotlight—an embodiment of resilience, determination, and rebirth.
Her modeling journey began in high school, where she wore the titles of Miss Valentines and Miss Osizweni in 2013. But her rising star dimmed when she stepped back from modeling after facing bullying that shattered her confidence.
A decade later, she rekindled that spark through the Miss Ekasi pageants hosted by the Lerato Nogabe Foundation, where she was crowned Miss Ekasi 2nd Princess 2023. That marked a major turning point in her life and symbolized a powerful comeback.
Despite facing fierce competition from talented contestants nationwide, Ndaba pushed through, drawing strength from her past struggles.
“It was a challenging yet exhilarating experience, pushing me to grow and learn. I had to dig deep and find the strength to keep going, even when it felt like the odds were against me,” she shared.
Ndaba, now 27, describes being crowned Miss Inspire SA as a moment of pure elation.
“When they announced my name as the winner, it was like time stood still. I felt a rush of emotions: shock, joy, and gratitude. I remember screaming with excitement, tears of happiness streaming down my face,” she recalled.
Her winnings include a cash prize, certificate of participation, a weekend sleepover at Ecotel Premier Lodge, and the honor of wearing the crown for restoration and vitality, symbolizing triumph over adversity.
Now holding the Miss Inspire SA title, Ndaba is determined to use her platform to spark positive change.
“I want to inspire and motivate others to take action, to make a difference, and to create lasting change. I am committed to using my voice and influence to drive meaningful change and to bring people together for a common cause.”
With a heart full of purpose and a crown that tells a story of strength, Portia Ndaba is more than just a pageant winner—she is a beacon of inspiration for South Africa and beyond.
