Sasolia Primary School participated in the Coding4Mandela Dancing Tournament hosted by Tangible Africa, which took place in July 2025.
Learners from grades 4 to 7 at the school participated in the dance compilation and emerged victorious, winning a total of R6000.00 in cash, as well as coding and robotics equipment.
According to Sasolia Primary School Principal, Mr. Joseph Gamede, the money will help improve the school’s coding and robotics centre and ensure they receive tablets and other resources, allowing more learners to participate.
“As we are now on the Fifth Industrial Revolution, we are moving very fast, including ICT in our team, so that our learners can move swiftly towards achieving more skills in this technological revolution. As a school, we are excited as this was a global competition and we’ve flown our flag, Highveld Ridge Circuit, Mpumalanga, and the South African flag so high,” said Mr Gamede.
