Mduduzi Jerry Shabangu (24) and Mohlami Samuel Ramahai (29) appeared before the Evander Magistrate court on Wednesday,16 April 2025 for a formal bail application.
The State did not oppose their bail application on conditions that they do not contact the victims in the matter.
The defence lawyer, Mr Aphane of Aphane TL Attorneys was furnished with the names of the Seven (7) victims that they should not be in contact with.
Parents who have taken their children to the camp together with other facilitators came out in numbers to support the accused.
Most parents have expressed how much the camp has been of help in disciplining their children.
“I’m very happy Mduduzi and Mhlomi were released today, these two gentlemen have been of great help therefore I’ll always support them at all times. My child was taken into their disciplinary camp last year and he is now behaving very well which is the reason why I’ll forever support this two gentleman,” said a parent who took his child to the camp.
The accused were released on warning and the matter has been postponed to 22 May 2025 for further investigations.
