The Sizwakele secondary school staff hosted their award ceremony on Tuesday, 19 March 2024 at the Sasol Recreation Club in eMbalenhle.
The aim of the event was to appreciate and recognise teachers, general workers, and all staff members at the school.
Different award categories were received by the school staff members, including most improved and recognition; special awards; and excellence teachers awards.
“Today’s event is a blessing in such a way that we are gathered here to congratulate the positive actions of everyone in our school,” said Mr Bhekisisa Madonsela.
Teachers were awarded with silver and bronze certificates for the most improved and recognition category.
Meanwhile, nine teachers were awarded with gold certificates and trophies for 100% results.
Mrs Nthabiseng Mashinini received 100% Grade 12 in Sesotho Home language with four (4) distinctions; Mrs Khabonina Phakathi and Ms BP Masuku Grade received 100% Grade 12 in Life Orientation with forty-one (41) distinctions; Mr Bhekisisa Madonsela, Ms Patience Madi, Ms Sibongile Twala, Mr Sibusiso Magagula, and Ms Hlobisile Mthimkhulu received 100 % Grade 12 in English Additional Language with six (6) distinctions.
The event was marked by the presence of a former teacher at Sizwakele secondary school, Mrs Khunou, who shared words of encouragement.
