On Friday, 24 February 2023, at Evander in Mpumalanga, an intelligence-driven disruptive operation resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect.
The disruptive operation was executed by the Secunda based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team together with Crime Intelligence Division and K9 unit also based in Secunda.
The arrest was made in response to information regarding a specific residence where narcotics were allegedly sold.
On arrival at the identified address, the suspect was found in possession of different types of drugs which include nyaope, cat, crystal meth, heroin and crack cocaine.
The narcotics, a substance grinder for the substances, drug packaging supplies, and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized for further investigation.
Suspect was arrested and will appear in the Evander Magistrate Court on Monday, 27 February 2023.
