With the mandate of keeping healthy and raising funds, Thorisong Primary hosted a fun walk on Saturday, 15 April 2023.
The purpose of the fun run and walk was to raise funds for the renovation of the roofing of the school.
Teachers and learners from grade 4 to grade 7 took part in the 5km fun walk which went via Embalenhle Engen garage route, all the way to Allen Makhunga Primary school, then down to Sharpeve primary school and straight back to Thorisong Primay.
‘’Through this fun walk, we are trying to raise funds to help towards fixing the roof and toilets which are too old at this point and at a stage of dilapidation.
We are also promoting keeping a healthy lifestyle.
I would also like to thank our sponsors and our staff who made sure that the event was a success,’’ said Mrs SP Nkosi the principal of the school.
The fun race had various sponsors who contributed towards the funding of the event and awards which were handed over to winners of the race.
The school is currently looking for possible sponsors who can help towards the renovation of the roof and the school toilets.
