Three police officers from Evander Police station have been arrested on various charges in the past month.
One police officer was arrested for murder which was alleged to have occurred at Evander Nesto Lounge.
The allegations are that on the fateful Sunday in January, the said officer shot at someone inside the lounge.
The lounge is alleged to have issued a notice that it will not operate the following weekend due to renovations which were taking place.
Sources reveal that the renovations were part of fixing the damage at the scene of the crime.
Another officer from Evander Police station is alleged to have been arrested on shoplifting charges which took place at Secunda Mall on 31 January 2023 at Dischem Stores.
The stolen items are estimated to be valued at R800.00.
Meanwhile, another officer was arrested on charges of rape.
Evander spokesperson Constable Zuki Mxhotjela said she could not comment regarding the allegations.
Seskhona Newspaper also tried to contact the office of Mpumalanga SAPS Provincial Commissioner to get clarity on the matter with no luck.
