Former mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay and current Federal Chairperson for Democratic Alliance, Athol Trollip visited Marietjie School for LSEN in Secunda on Friday 26 April to encourage voters to vote on the upcoming elections.

“If a politician goes to the people of South Africa to campaign and not talk about the high levels of crime and unemployment, then they are not serious and not worth voting for,” said Trollip.

Trollip spoke about the importance of making smart choices, especially now that the elections are around the corner.

“When voting make sure that you vote for a party that has zero tolerance for corruption, no one from the DA has been called to appear before the Zondo Commission”.

He further added that many people think that state capture is former president Jacob Zuma’s mistake but it is not, it is in fact a design by the African National Congress. “People seem to think that Cyril Ramaphosa is going to save the ANC, that is not true. The DA will not sit around and watch the ANC destroy South Africa,” added Trollip.

In closing, Trollip told the people that the DA will change the lives of many South Africans because they do not take the people of South Africa for granted.

He encouraged everyone to go cast their vote on the 08th of May.

“Vote for the party that will put your needs first”.
