A woman allegedly stabbed her lover in eMbalenhle, Ext 26 on Saturday 28 January 2023.
It is alleged that on the fateful day, police received a complaint about an incident of a woman who had stabbed her boyfriend inside their house.
Upon arrival at the scene, police in eMbalenhle found a group of by-standers outside the said residence and inside the house was the man alleged to be the woman’s boyfriend laying down on his back while the woman stood by the door.
It was unfortunate that the man was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
The deceased was found with stab wounds on his left side of the chest and bruises on both legs.
It is further alleged that the woman claimed to have stabbed the male with a table knife as self-defense.
According to Const Busisiwe Mthethwa, a case of murder has been opened and the suspect was arrested meanwhile police in eMbalenhle continue with their investigation.
