Kinross police received a call last night about a car which was burning at Kinross Town.
The Acting Station Commander of Kinross Police Station, W/o Thusi said the car was already burnt to ashes when he arrived on scene, but there were remains of a burnt body inside.
The deceased neighbours were able to identify the car and the person who was inside, but will only be confirmed by the post mortem.
The man who is said to be a white male was living in a rented house at Kinross Town.
Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
