Mulomowandau Erick Mathoho, one of the Kaizer Chiefs’ longest-tenured players, unfortunately left the team just after the 2022–23 DStv Premiership season was concluded.

Mathoho, who is now 33 years old, joined chiefs in July 2012 when he was still 22 years old after leaving Bloemfontein Celtic where he played only three seasons.

Eric Mathoho won two league championships, one Nedbank Cup, and one MTN8 championship while a member of Kaizer Chiefs.

“I will like to thank my chairperson Dr Motaung for the opportunity to play for one of the biggest team in Africa,” said Eric Mathoho on the official statement he released on social media.

He further expressed his gratitude to all Kaizer Chiefs supporters and thanked them for constantly support and kindness they showed him through thick and thin.
