Teachers from Ikhethelo Secondary School, located in Bethal, were named the best teachers in history by the Gert Sibande District on 21 January 2026, after achieving an exceptional 97.5% pass rate.

This remarkable accomplishment reflected their commitment to academic excellence and learner success.

Mr Khanyisa Nkosi and Mrs Lizzie Mncube’s dedication and passion for teaching have brought great honour to the school and the community.

Ikhethelo Secondary School proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements of its History teachers.

The two teachers were further honoured with another Certificate of Excellence in the Govan Mbeki Circuit for achieving an impressive 98% pass rate in History on the 3rd of February 2026.
