A 32-years-old man was assassinated at his residence in eMbalenhle Ext 12 on Saturday, 10 December 2022 at about 17h45.
According to Const Busisiwe Mthethwa, spokesperson at eMbalenhle SAPS, police received a complaint of gun shots which were fired at Ext 12 and upon arrival they notice a white Mercedes Benz Viano parked outside.
“As the members got closer, they noticed bullet holes on the right front window of the vehicle.
They also found a man who was allegedly the driver of the Viano with his head resting to the left on the passenger seat with multiple gunshot wounds and a lot of blood in the vehicle,” said const Mthethwa.
An undisclosed number of cartridges was found on the ground meanwhile others were found in the vehicle.
The members contacted emergency services for assistance but unfortunately, the man was certified dead at the scene of the crime.
A case of murder was opened at eMbalenhle police station and investigation is currently underway.
No arrests have been made at this point and suspects are still at large.
