Nelisiwe Mpinga Sepeke grew up, attended the primary and secondary education in Leandra.
Being a chef was something which was not on Nelisiwe’s cards, but was introduced by her mom.
In matric she majored with Accounting, Business Economics and Tourism, aiming to be a flight attendant one day.
“Little did I know was that after matric I will be sitting at home doing nothing.
When my mom who works at a catering company encouraged me to go and study to be a chef, I jumped to the opportunity,” said Nelisiwe.
She went to a culinary school in Gauteng and finally fell in love with the food industry.
She also thanked her mother’s employer who paid for her studies.
Nelisiwe said even though she works for a certain company, she is available for bookings, whether its parties, weddings or corporate events.
She already launched her own ‘Mother in Law Chillies’ which is made of her unique recipe and is already in demand.
Nelisiwe own a catering company called Nels Chef House which is also available on Facebook.
She is also confident that she can train people who have restaurants or food businesses.
Her message to other young people was for them to be prayerful and tell God about all their wishes.
“As youth we should take risk and not dwell at what people says, but focus and at the end of the day you will finally get your breakthrough.”
