Members of the public are urged to assist the Wakkerstroom Police in locating Mr Themba Yende (pictures attached), who can be of great assistance in resolving a case in which Ms Thobile Mayisela (29) was murdered last weekend.
Yende is believed to be residing at the Sterkfontein farm.
According to the information that the police have gathered so far, on Saturday, 21 October 2023, Ms Mayisela, who was resident at Waaihoek Farm, is said to have attended a funeral in Driefontein, and whilst returning, she was reportedly seen walking with someone.
It was a shock when her lifeless body was discovered at a certain house in Wakkerstroom the next day, Sunday 22 October 2023.
A case of murder was then opened, and the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
No one has been arrested yet, but preliminary investigation suggests that Mayisela was strangled to death, possibly on Saturday, 21 October 2023.
When police investigators connected the dots, they stumbled upon crucial information that may lead to a breakthrough in this case.
This new development propelled members to seek out Yende, who has not been found yet, in spite of several attempts to locate him.
