The Secunda Mall Management team visited the Belinah Stimulation Centre in eMzinoni, Bethal, on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.
The purpose of the visit was to donate blankets to the centre which supports children with autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome.
The blankets were crocheted from a disassembled beautiful 6-meter-tall wool Christmas tree, which was displayed at entrance 2 near Symphoney’s restaurant at Secunda Mall from October 2025 till the end of the festive season.
“Seeing the blankets reach their new home reminded us that a little truly goes a long way. This journey, rooted in the spirit of giving, took 14 months to come full circle…and what a special journey it has been,” said Danelle Van Der Watt, from the Secunda Mall management office.
Thirty-four (34) blankets were donated to the centre.
The initiative was a definition of showing what can happen when people come together.
“Together, we’ve created something meaningful—and shared a little warmth along the way,” said Danelle Van Der Watt in closing.
