A young man lost his life at the age of 34 after an argument ensued on Saturday, 29 April 2023 midnight at about 03h30.
An officer from eMbalenhle SAPS received a complaint about a shooting at Ext 22, eMbalenhle and swiftly responded by collecting the person who reported the case at the police station.
Upon their arrival at the crime scene, he interviewed the reporter of the case about what had happened.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the suspect had been found assaulted and the deceased lying on the ground.
It is alleged that there was an argument between the suspect, the deceased and the brother of the deceased who is the one who reported the matter to the police.
According to information, the suspect withdrew a firearm and shot at the deceased’s brother. The bullet then hit him on the side of his left eye and then went through to the deceased, who got shot in the right shoulder.
The suspect was arrested and admitted to Evander Hospital under police guard.
According to Constable Busisiwe Mthethwa from eMbalenhle Police Station, a case of murder and attempted murder has been opened and an investigation is still underway.
