An 18-year-old teenage girl, Tshireletso Monaila who described herself as driven, communicative, enthusiastic and reliable person based in Evander and currently contesting for Miss Prime South Africa and Gert Sibande Appreciation awards for best female model new comer expressed her passion in modelling industry.
Tshireletso started her modelling journey when she was 16-year-old after she was inspired by her older sister who is also a model and after reading the article about Lerato Nogabe, although she once dreamed of being a dancer.
Throughout her modelling journey, she managed to secure several titles which includes Miss Teen Ekasi 2022 1st princess, Miss Talent 2020, Miss Day at the race 2021 2nd princess, Miss Queen of Royalty 2022 2nd princess, Miss Vuitton 1st princess 2021, Miss Gucci Africa 1st princess 2021 and Queen of Mpumalanga Glam Awards 2022.
With her passion of modelling, she saw the gap to engage with people and assisting communities with their needs which would improve their living environment and uplifting their confidence, thereafter she decided to open her own foundation which is known as Tshireletso Foundation which motivates her to keep flourishing. Through her foundation, she has done several projects with the community of Holfontein farm in Trichardt which include providing animal feeds to the residence and medication, treatment and vaccination for animals.
Tshireletso is passionate and she says that she uses negative feedback to grow and fix her mistakes which contributes to her success in projects.
“I am ambitious and driven.
I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive towards.
“I am not comfortable with settling because nothing will grow, and I am always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness,” said Tshireletso Monaila.
Balancing school work and doing modelling was always a challenge for her which gave her sweet-bitter journey.
Although she still wishes to continue to further her studies and pursue hospitality management, Tshireletso aims to travel the world through modelling and also having her own talk show as well as being a radio presenter is on her cart so she can motivate people on how to overcome anxiety and depression together with boosting their confidence to do better with their lives.
“My vision is to grow as a model and one day I wish to be crowned as Miss South Africa as well as Miss Universe, however I also want to transition from pageantry to fashion modelling in my career,” said Tshireletso.
She further stated that life is not about being in one place if you want to grow, and your background does not determine your future.
