Vukanini (VUKTA) Taxi Association Youth Desk invited other Youth Desk members from associations around Mpumalanga to celebrate Youth Day through sports and getting together on Friday, 16 June 2023 at Risko Fakude Stadium in eMbalenhle.
Even though, the associations have not encountered any conflict, Vukta took the opportunity to host the Youth Day celebration with the aim of knowing each other better and create peace.
The aim of the event is also to raise capital by selling soft drinks, hot-dogs, snacks and fruits to use in future.
“We travel on the some routes around Mpumalanga so we don’t want to see each other fighting on the road,” said Elvis Mkhwebane, Public Relations Officer of Vukta Youth Desk.
Different stakeholders including SANTCO provincial Youth Desk and NYDA were invited to experience the gathering.
Community members of eMbalenhle were also invited to watch sports and interact with NYDA team members on how to start their businesses.
