Zanele Gatebe is an aspiring young model from Kinross Afghanistan currently in agrade 11at Thistle Grove Combined School.
Zanele is a finalist for Miss Inspire SA Teen 2022 which is her first national competition.
The grand finale of the Miss inspire competition will be held on the 5th of February 2023 at Benoni in the Gauteng Province.
‘’Throughout my Miss Inspire journey, I have learnt self-acceptance and giving back to the community.
From a young age I struggled with insecurities but this competitions made me accept myself the way I am, ‘’she said.
She started her modeling career at the age of 15 in 2019.
Like any young teenager Zanele lacked confidence which she saw an opportunity to boost it through modeling career.
‘’I always wanted to be a model but scared and not confident enough, so during the COVID 19 lockdown stages I told myself that I want to pursue modelling.
I started by trying to find a modeling agency around and found Gibbor Models situated in Evander,’’ said Zanele
She entered her first competition which was Miss Talent held in Secunda and was crowned 2nd Princess.
When asked how she felt about her first competition she said she was very happy because it was her first win although she got cold feet during the competition.
Zanele entered more competitions where she managed to bag 15 sashes, 11 crowns and 4 titles namely; LV Africa 2021, Miss Day on the Race 2021, Gucci Africa 2021 and Queen of Winter Royalty 2022.
