Setta Molifi, a 15- year old boy from Kinross has been chosen to represent New Beginnings Sports in the annual Los Angeles 7s tournament.
This is said to be a very big opportunity for him as this will be a big achievement in his rugby career.
“I worked very hard to be able to get this opportunity,” said Setta who believes that good Samaritans will be able to assist him.
His coach said Setta is one of the most disciplined and dedicated players in his team and that was the reason he was chosen.
Setta is raised by a single parent after his father passed on.
The New Beginnings Sports team will depart from South Africa in June 2020 and will be away for a period of 7-10 days.
The dates are yet to be confirmed.
The tour for each member will be R40 000, and this will include the following: return airline ticket to and from South Africa, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, a welcome function, local transfers to and from airport, sports fields and field trips in Los Angeles, insurance and clothing.
