Sino-Skos (Pty, Ltd) hosted a fund raising fun day for the church as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on Saturday, 17 September 2022 at Maria Consolata Catholic Church (MCC) in Embalenhle.
The Sino-Skos team assisted the church in ensuring that the event was well managed.
The purpose of the event was to create excitement for all the attendees and launch the company.
“It is crucial for companies to have CSR programs within the communities it operates in and with this event we at Sino-Skos delivered on our mission of making a difference and ensuring that we offer professional services in being a prime leader in improving the quality of life in the communities we serve.
All the funds raised throughout the event will be donated to Maria Consolata Catholic Church (MCC) in Embalenhle helping the church to be able to manage some of its daily operations,” said Mr Linda Skosana.
The church priest also joined the event and played games with the children.
“I’m grateful to Sino-Skos and everyone who came through, making the event a success”, said the church priest, Fr. Zakhele.
During the course of the day various inflatables were available for the children, the most popular inflatable on the day was the water slide whereby children got themselves wet.
There was also an adventure inflatable, basic jumping castle and boxing inflatable.
Various items namely, popcorns, sweets, etc. were available at the pop-up tuck shop and all children received a hotdog and soft drink as a meal.
“I honestly enjoyed working with other youth members from the church, we haven’t had such joyful events in a very long time”, said one of the youth members from MCC.
The event was a huge success with eighty-five (85) children and thirty-two (32) parents attending.
Mr Skosana further mentioned that preparations for the next fun day are underway with November being eye marked for a bigger event.
