The Storm Ladies team has recently got promotion from the Regional League.

The team now competes in a Provincial League.

The team manager, Mxolisi Mngomezulu, and an inspiring teacher, stated that he is running the team with Maswazi Ndlangamandla together with support from the parents of the players.

He also reacts to some challenges that the team is currently facing and he gets too emotional when telling the story of how they collected the ladies from the streets to protect and promote their talent.

“It is difficult to run the team since the league has many away games, the transport problem is one of the challenges we are facing currently,” said Mxolisi Mngomezulu.

He further stated that sometimes the player goes to games with an empty stomach, as the players are from underprivileged homesteads. Some players do not have soccer boots, which is another challenge that the team is facing.

Furthermore, he is calling out all businesses and companies who may wish to assist the team by sponsoring or donating soccer boots, soccer balls and also transport to come forward.

He concluded by appreciating one of the transport owners, Bab’Mzondi, who always reached out and was helpful to the team when they always needed him.
