A group of students successfully completed a four-week training course on Friday, 09 September 2023, after completing a skills program under a certain development center in collaboration with the PSASA (Programme Support Association Southern Africa), which is an NPO based in Kinross.

A group of 42 students were identified as beneficiaries of the program after PSASA entered into a contract with a skills development center to train a number of beneficiaries.

The advocacy officer Ntombifuthi Mgqalelo and the social worker Thuli Mthethwa from the center saw potential in these beneficiaries.

These beneficiaries were willing to further their studies, but due to financial reasons and other circumstances, they could not proceed.

The beneficiaries completed the course successfully and received a working at heights certificate, a rigging Cat 3 certificate, and a confined space certificate.

If you are a young person, never give up, no matter how the situation is back home; it is not the end of the world. Our aim is to see young people picking themselves up and looking forward to a brighter future. We are here to change people’s lives. Therefore, we shall not only end here; we are looking forward to getting other opportunities, said Ntombifuthi Mgqalelo, who is the advocacy officer of PSASA

The Department of Labor was invited on the day of the ceremony to help register the beneficiaries on their database for possible employment in the future.
