A body of an unknown female was found on the road at extension 16 next to the taxi rank near R546 in eMbalenhle on Thursday, 08 June 2023 at about 07h30 and was reported by a taxi driver.
It is alleged that it had seemed as if the woman was strangled and left on the road.
Emergency personnel were summoned to the scene whereby the female body was checked but there were no visible injuries and was declared dead.
The alleged grandmother arrived at the scene and identified the body also stated the age of 19.
Thereafter, the identified 19 years old female body was taken to Evander pathology for post moterm to be conducted.
According to Constable Busisiwe Mthethwa from eMbalenhle Police Station, investigation is still underway and no one has been arrested yet.
