A String of house robberies have been reported in Leandra in the past weeks of May 2025.

According to information at police disposal, the victim was awakened by an unknown male in the early hours of the morning, and held her at knife point while sexually assaulting her.

The robber thereafter demanded money and her cellphone. When she told him she did not have any, he slapped her and went to the dining area, where he made away with a computer and a computer box.

In another incident, two unknown men entered a complainant’s house and begged for food. When the complainant told them there was no food, the two robbers assaulted her and took her cellphone and money before fleeing the scene.

Another similar incident was reported, also committed by two males.

According to Constable Nontobeko Ngubeni, no arrests have been made thus far, and all matters are under investigation.
