Vukuqhakaze and Chief Ampie Mayise Secondary School grade 12 learners gathered at Vukuqhakaze Secondary School in Leandra on Friday, 26 July 2024.
The aim of the gathering was to encourage and motivate the grade 12 learners.
The gathering also helped them prepare for the upcoming preliminary and final examinations.
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Rufus Wesi, general manager of the Osizweni Science Centre, and Professor Nisi Thusi, lecturer at the University of Johannesburg and Associate Research Professor at GCAR.
“The future is bright only if you want it to be. In order for you to succeed, God and books should be your friends,” said Professor Thusi.
The learners were excited to meet Professor Thusi and hear about her achievements thus far.
The learners also promised to work hard and achieve good results at the end of the year.
